Dato’ Gooi, a Malaysian aged 57, is our Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman and substantial shareholder. He was appointed to our Board on 24 July 2017.
Dato’ Gooi is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants since 1990 and 1992 respectively. He has more than thirty-two (32) years of experience in the fields of accounting and corporate finance and was the Finance Director of several private and public listed companies.
In 1998 to 2000, Dato’ Gooi was appointed as the Director of Corporate Finance for Kestrel Securities Sdn Bhd and was in charge of overseeing the corporate finance department and dealing with stock exchange and business development of the company. He had been instrumental in the successful implementation of several corporate exercises, which included merger and acquisition and corporate debt restructuring exercises undertaken by public listed companies. In 1999, Dato’ Gooi was appointed to the Board of Directors of Avenue Capital Resources Berhad as a Non-Executive Director and subsequently appointed as the Group Managing Director in 2000 and Deputy Chairman in 2004, holding this last post until 2006. He was also the Chief Executive Officer of Avenue Securities Sdn Bhd in charge of the company’s entire operation and strategic direction from 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, he took on the role as the Executive Director – Dealing of Avenue Securities Sdn Bhd from 2004 to 2006. In 2008, Dato’ Gooi was appointed to the Board of Directors of EON Bank Berhad and was subsequently appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2010 to 2011. In 2009, he was appointed to the Board of Amity Bond Berhad (formerly known as EON Capital Berhad) and in the same year assumed Chairmanship, a position that he still continues to hold.
Dato’ Gooi now sits on the board of directors of several public companies such as AIA Berhad (since December 2011), Hup Seng Industries Berhad (since November 2013), Perusahaan Sadur Timah Malaysia (Perstima) Berhad (since July 2013) and Yinson Holdings Berhad (since August 2016). In 2015, Dato’ Gooi was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Perstima.
Michael Loke, a Malaysian aged 58, is one of our co-founders and Non-Independent Non-Executive Director. He was appointed to our Board on 7 June 2017. He was the founding Director/shareholder of our operating subsidiaries RISB and IPR since 6 June 2013 and 23 December 2014 respectively. He was our angel investor and is involved in the overall strategy and business direction of our Group. He is not actively involved in the daily operations of our Group, but being legally trained, he is responsible in legal matters pertaining to our Group’s operations.
Michael Loke graduated with a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and a Bachelor of Economics from the Monash University, Australia in 1982. He started his career as a Legal Assistant with Ho Ung Hun & Co (Advocates & Solicitors) from 1984 to 1985, focusing in areas of banking, corporate conveyancing and litigation. From 1985 to 2001, he served as Managing Partner at his law firm Ho, Loke & Koh (Advocates & Solicitors). He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Phileo Australia Pte Ltd, a property developer company in Australia in 1995 and presently continues to hold the position as a Director and Audit Committee Chairman, where he is responsible in overall management formulation and execution of policies and strategy, as well as audit review of the group. He is also the Managing Director of Renwood Consulting Sdn Bhd, a company providing financial consultancy services, since 2000.
Michael Loke is currently the Independent Non-Executive Director of Yee Seng Heights Sdn Bhd (since January 2009), Gama Suasa Sdn Bhd (since September 2011), Gita Bayu Services Sdn Bhd (since January 2010), Coronation Estates Sdn Bhd (since January 2010) and Public Investment Sdn Bhd (since January 2010).
David Foo, a Malaysian aged 36, is one of our co-founders and Non-Independent Executive Director. He was appointed to our Board on 7 June 2017. He was the founding Director/shareholder of our operating subsidiaries RISB and IPR since 6 June 2013 and 23 December 2014 respectively. Together with Ignatius Ho, he is responsible in the overall operations of our Group, overseeing business development, sales and marketing, product development, as well as finance and operations.
David graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2002 with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting & Finance. He then continued his higher education at the University of Melbourne and graduated in 2004 with a Master of Commerce majoring in Finance.
David started his career as a Fixed Income Analyst in 2005 at Affin-Hwang Investment Berhad (formerly known as HwangDBS Investment Management Berhad). He later joined Credit Suisse (Hong Kong) Limited in 2007 as an Analyst in the Investment Banking Department focusing on the debt market with clientele in China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and other emerging market countries in Asia.
Upon his return from Hong Kong in 2010, David joined Mamee-Double Decker Sdn Bhd as Business Development Manager and was subsequently promoted to Head of International Business in 2011 to lead the International Sales & Marketing team. He was later promoted to Head of Strategy in 2013 and thereafter the Commercial Director (Beverage & Chilled Division) in 2014. David left Mamee-Double Decker Sdn Bhd in 2015, where he then joined RISB (the company he co-founded with the other co-founders earlier) and subsequently launched Graaab JaGaApp together with Ignatius Ho and Michael Loke, the other co-founders.
Ignatius Ho, a Malaysian aged 35, is one of our co-founders and Non-Independent Executive Director. He was appointed to our Board on 7 June 2017. He was the founding Director/shareholder of our operating subsidiaries RISB and IPR since 6 June 2013 and 23 December 2014 respectively. Together with David Foo, he is involved in the overall operations of our Group, responsible for business development, sales and marketing, product development, as well as finance and operations.
He graduated in 2002 from University of Bristol with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) majoring in Economics and subsequently went on to obtain a Master of Science, majoring in Management in 2003 from the same university. In 2004 he started working with Nationwide Building Society in United Kingdom as an Executive in the Human Resources Department.
In 2005, he returned to Malaysia and joined HwangDBS Investment Management Berhad as an Equity Analyst. He subsequently joined Harditech Engineering Sdn Bhd in 2008, a company involved in the manufacturing of recycled paper packaging and aluminium moulding as General Manager, in charge of overall management, finance, business process and operations. In 2011, he left Harditech Engineering Sdn Bhd to venture into the Malaysian retail industry, joining World of Watches 2 Sdn Bhd and Dreams Finder Sdn Bhd as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director in 2012 and 2013 respectively. He resigned from the board of directors of World of Watches 2 Sdn Bhd in July 2015. Ignatius Ho is currently still a Director of Dreams Finder Sdn Bhd and Wonderstream Sdn Bhd (since October 2013), Goldpine Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd (since April 2006), Wealth Equity Sdn Bhd (since June 2012) and Anchorvale Sdn Bhd (since July 2011). The aforementioned companies which Ignatius Ho is currently holding directorship and/or major shareholdings, are currently dormant or not active in business. Ignatius Ho does not have any intention to be actively involved in the businesses of these companies and is fully committed to managing our Group.
He co-founded RISB and subsequently launched Graaab JaGaApp in 2015 with David Foo and Michael Loke, the other co-founders.
Alex Lim, a Malaysian aged 61, is our Independent Non-Executive Director. He was appointed to our Board on 24 July 2017. Alex Lim graduated with Degrees in Law and Commerce from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 1978. He has been admitted to practice law in Malaysia and in the State of Victoria, Australia.
He was appointed to the Board as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of TAHPS Group Bhd on 10 August 1994 and was re-designated as an Executive Director on 1 December 2002. On 17 October 2016, he was re-designated to a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the company and on 15 November 2016 he was subsequently appointed as the Chairman of the Strategy and Oversight Committee and a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
He has over 30 years of experience in residential and commercial property maintenance, letting and development projects. Alex Lim completed the Gita Bayu development which earned the Best Residential development award by FIABCI in year 2003 and Best Landscaping award for Hotel/Resort/Tourism Complex for the State of Selangor by Majlis Perbandaran Kajang in year 2003. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Yee Seng Heights Sdn Bhd and its subsidiaries, namely Gita Bayu Services Sdn Bhd, Coronation Estates Sdn Bhd and Gama Suasa Sdn Bhd. He is also a Director of Bukit Hitam Development Sdn Bhd, The Ayer Hitam Development Sdn Bhd, Yee Seng Plantations Sdn Bhd and Cendana Maju Construction Sdn Bhd. Alex Lim is a trustee of both Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation Malaysia and Yayasan Lim Yee Hoh.

Our new measures to manage the risks arising from COVID-19 are as follows:
- Encourage our employees to work from home where possible
- Encourage virtual meetings internally and externally to minimize face-to-face meet ups
- Names and contact of attendees for face-to-face meetings will be recorded
- Implement all necessary precautions as per MOH guidelines (usage of hand sanitizers, disinfection at work areas, entry records for contact tracing, social distancing etc.)
- Encourage and implement good hygiene practices among our teams
- Increased cleaning and disinfection frequency at our office areas
